Britt Schaffeld, DVM, from The Animal Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe will be at the branch providing pet care tips and advice, while CCAC will have a few pets available for adoption.
Hotdogs and soft drinks will be available. There will also be a bake sale. All proceeds will benefit CCAC.
CCAC, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization formed in the early 90s to improve animal care awareness in Catoosa County. Its mission is to reduce animal over-population through a spay/neuter program, educate the community about the humane treatment of animals and help connect animals in need of homes with families.
The group has provided more than 100 spay/neuters in Catoosa County this year and expects to double the amount provided last year.
CCAC recently began a foster program for abandoned animals. The group has placed seven animals this year through the foster program.
