Lake Winnepesaukah salutes emergency personnel Sept. 11

In admiration of the heroic contributions of emergency service personnel on 9-11, Lake Winnepesaukah will honor emergency medical technicians, police, firefighters and military personnel and their families with a free day Saturday, Septe. 11.

“We want to show our appreciation to those men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for their fellow citizens and our country,” said park representative Talley Green. “We salute their efforts with a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah."

On Saturday, September 11, those presenting an EMT, police, firefighter or military identification at the entrance gates will receive free gate admission and unlimited rides.

Children must be accompanied by an adult with proper identification in order to receive free gate admission and unlimited rides.

The actual active duty service person need not be present.

Lake Winnepesaukah will be open Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Lake Winnepesaukah is recognized as one of America’s top ten family amusement parks by Travel and Leisure magazine.
