The Georgia School Boards Association recently recognized the Walker County Board of Education for completion of a comprehensive series of leadership training designed to enhance their skills and knowledge as leaders of the local public education system.

Training sessions cover important topics such as budget and finance, legal and policy issues, school and community relations and the role and responsibilities of today’s school board members.

GSBA executive director Sis Henry said through continuing professional learning, local school board members “show their dedication to improving the educational system for students within their communities.”
