The bride-elect’s parents are Mr. Doug Cheek of Homer, Ga. and Ms. Cindi Cheek of Commerce, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Hoyt and Sherbie Harris of Jefferson, Ga. and Mr. Thomas Cheek of Atlanta and the late Doris Cheek of Homer. She was an honor graduate of Banks County High School in 2002 and graduated magna cum laude from Young Harris College and the University of Georgia with an associate’s degree in biology and bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2006. She currently works in outside sales for RadioShack in Commerce. She is a member of Homer United Methodist Church.
The groom’s parents are Ancil and Karen Coulter of Ringgold. He is the grandson of Herman Coulter and the late Viola Coulter of Rossville and Lillie Smither and the late Freeman Smither of Fort Oglethorpe. He graduated salutatorian from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School in 2003 and graduated suma cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2007. He is currently employed as a senior consultant by Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Atlanta. He is a member of Fort Oglethorpe United Methodist Church and regularly attends Homer United Methodist Church.
The couple met at the University of Georgia and will reside in Suwanee, Ga.
