A LaFayette man was killed Wednesday when he lost control of his motorcycle.

According to Georgia State Patrol Post 41 in LaFayette, Monty Morrison was traveling on a motorcycle at the south end of Foster Mill Drive, near the railroad tracks, when he wrecked about 3:52 p.m.

According to Walker County sheriff Steve Wilson, Morrison was entering a curve when he struck a driveway tile on Foster Mill Drive that sent the motorcycle airborne.

Morrison was airlifted by helicopter and pronounced dead on arrival at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
