Cedar Shoals girls 2, Ridgeland 0
On a windy Saturday near the beach, the Lady Jaguars from Athens outshot Ridgeland, 12-5, in the win.
Ridgeland head coach Darren Crutcher said he was far from disappointed.
We improved a lot, he said. (Dawson) did some things, tactically, in the first half that we have not seen before. Once halftime came around we were able to handle those tactical things and made some good things happen.
But we stepped up and did a lot of things that we were not doing, like getting consistent midfield play, playing aggressive and getting good quality minutes from the bench. I was glad we went.
