Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Morgan Scarborough of Ringgold would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Morgan Scarborough, to Garry Kenneth Moss, Jr., son of Annette Cox Moss of Calhoun and Garry Kenneth Moss of Ranger, Ga.

Katie Scarborough is the granddaughter of Vohnnie Mae Raymer and the late Randall Raymer, as well as Bernice Scarborough and the late David Scarborough. She is a graduate of Ringgold High School and earned an associate degree in emergency services management from Dalton State College, as well as certification as a paramedic. She is currently employed by Hutcheson Medical Center’s emergency medical services department as a paramedic. She also attends Burning Bush Baptist Church.

Garry Moss is the grandson of Edna Cox and the late Robert Cox of Calhoun, as well as Vivian Moss and the late Ellis Moss of Ranger, Ga. He is a graduate of Gordon Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army, the National Guard and overseas. He is now employed as a trooper by the Georgia State Patrol in Dalton.

The wedding ceremony will take place July 7 at Burning Bush Baptist Church.
