A word of thanks to Chief Chuck Gass and the men of Catoosa County Fire & Rescue. You have been my heroes for a long time. You have worked hard through the years to help the citizens of our county. When I watched the tape of you turning in your gear, seeing the tears in your eyes, I wanted to cry, as well. It is indeed a sad day for the county. I hope that with some new blood on the board of commissioners, they will reverse the interview process which at best could be called "crazy." My motto has always been if it is not broke, don’t fix it.
P.S. The same sentiments go for Post and Fort Oglethorpe firemen, as well.
