COMMUNITY · A called meeting of the executive committee of the board of directors of Hutcheson Medical Cen-ter, Inc., and Hutcheson Health Enterprises, Inc., is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, at 4 p.m. in the Women’s Center classroom.

CHURCH · Shiloh Baptist Church in West Armuchee will hold a spring revival service Wednesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. Danny Cochran is the speaker and Chris McDaniel will lead worship and special music. The church is at 46 Manning Mill Road just off West Armuchee Road.

CHURCH · Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church will hold spring revival service April 25 at 7 p.m. The evangelist for the meeting will be Dennis Petty of Cornell, Ga. COMMUNITY · Chattanooga Valley Lions Club in Flintstone will began selling Vidalia onions Thursday, April 26. They will be available at the American Legion yard sale at the Older American Center in Chickamauga and the Dinner Bell Restaurant in Flintstone on Saturdays, April 28 and May 5 at 9 a.m. Prices are $5 for 5 lbs, $10 for 10 lbs and $20 for 25 lbs. ENTERTAINMENT · Country music artist Craig Morgan will make a special visit to Chattanooga for a concert benefiting Children’s Hospital at Erlanger cancer patients Thursday, April 26 beginning at 7 p.m. at Rhythm and Brews. Morgan, who is known for his hit songs like “Redneck Yacht Club,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “Almost Home,” and his latest single, “This Ole Boy,” will perform with Bobby Hopkins. Proceeds from the concert will go to the Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Hospital. Tickets are $24 and can be pur-chased by going to www.Rhythm-Brews.com. Rhythm and Brews is at 221 Market Street in downtown Chattanooga. Attendees must be 18 years or older to enter.

COMMUNITY · The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf tournament Thursday, April 26 at the LaFayette golf course, with lunch served from 11 a.m. until 12:50 p.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost to play is $500 per teams of four or $125 for individual golfers. ENTERTAINMENT · A gospel singing benefit for Kim Dempsey Owens will be held April 27 at 7 p.m. at the Ring-gold Depot. Performers include the Jeff Hullender Family, Gene Lowery and Pipeline, and Ken Hicks and Testi-mony. A love offering will be taken at the door. Additional donations may be made at Gateway Bank and Trust to the Kim and Greg Owens Fund.

COMMUNITY · Messages of survival, rebuilding, healing and hope will be shared as the Ringgold community gathers on the evening of Friday, April 27, to mark the one-year anniversary of the tornado. In a service organized by seven area churches and local officials, those who died will be honored and the community’s resilient spirit will be celebrated. The event, “Storm to Strength: One Year Later,” will begin at 6 p.m. in the Ringgold High School park-ing lot. Guests will be treated to a free hot dog meal and live music with a DJ. Beginning at 7 p.m., the event will move inside to the gym for a service. A community choir will perform two traditional hymn favorites and there will be several guest speakers, including storm survivors and local pastors, and a variety of videos. Anyone can come and sing with the choir. Those interested are invited to participate by arriving for a brief rehearsal at 6 p.m. on the day of the service. COMMUNITY · Creatively Country will hold a spring gathering at 3674 N. Marble Top Road in Chickamauga Fri-day, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gathering will feature a variety of antiques, handmade crafts, plants, baked goods and more. Food will be available.
