As soon as she sees one of the little intruders, she’s on the case. And if it’s a flying insect, well, Josie exercises her feline patience and waits as long as it takes for the right opportunity to pounce.
Sometimes these escapades take her all over the house at breakneck speed. It’s a job she takes seriously.
Josephine is a baby doll Himalayan and weighs less than five pounds. She was an anniversary present for Kelly Pierce 12 years ago from husband Michael. And like another Josephine, wife of Napoleon and empress of the French, Josie is praised for her elegance and style.
A little aloof, Josie is perfectly content with her own company. When she’s not chasing bugs, she can be found holding court on the bed, repositioning herself when necessary to catch the sunbeams.
Josephine the cat has something in common with another famous name in history — Cleopatra. They share a fondness for milk.
Although the queen of ancient Egypt preferred to bathe in it, Josie the cat likes hers in a bowl.
Every night.
And then if there are no bugs to catch, Josephine Annabell returns to her palace bed for the evening.
