Former Lady Ramblers continue to shine for Shorter

Former LaFayette High School softball standouts Charlsie Broome and Emily Clements continue to be two of the leading hitters for the Shorter University Hawks.

Broome was hitting .399 going into the week. She has a team-high 55 hits and 22 stolen bases to go with eight homeruns, 27 RBIs, and 41 runs scored. She is first in the Southern States Athletic Conference in stolen bases and second in runs, hits, and homeruns.

Clements entered the week batting .364 and leads Shorter with 14 doubles and 38 RBIs. She also has 48 hits, five homeruns, nine stolen bases, and 23 runs scored. She is second in the conference in doubles and third in RBIs.

The Hawks entered the week ranked No. 9 in the nation with a 34-6 overall record and a 14-2 mark in the SSCA.
