CHURCH · Victory Tabernacle of Praise in LaFayette will present an Easter play, “The Time In Between,” Fri-day, April 6, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 8, at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome. The church is at 293 Justin Drive, off of Ga. 136 behind the LaFayette Walmart.

CHURCH · Boynton United Methodist Church will present a Good Friday cantata Friday, April 6, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. This Good Friday service will be a Tenebrae service. Tenebrae is a Latin word that means ‘shadows’ or ‘darkness’. The service is largely musical, a cantata entitled “Tenebrae: Jesus, Light of the World” by John E. Coates. It will feature the choirs of Boynton UMC and Ringgold UMC with orchestra accompaniment. The church is at 4246 Boynton Drive in Ringgold. CHURCH · Ridgeway Baptist Church will hold an Easter revival through April 7 at 7 p.m. each night. On Easter Sunday, the church will hold a sunrise service followed by breakfast at 7 a.m. and a regular Sunday service.

Saturday, April 7

COMMUNITY · Harbor Lights Baptist Church in LaFayette will hold a community Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the egg hunt, inflatables, games, food and more.

CHURCH · Chattooga Baptist Church will hold its annual community Easter egg hunt along with food, games and fellowship Saturday April 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the fellowship hall. The church is at 6982 Ga. 337, about 7 miles south of LaFayettte in the Center Post community.

COMMUNITY · Spots are available in the Ringgold First Baptist Church community garden. Call 706-935-2358 to reserve a spot. The garden will be planted Saturday, April 7, the day before Easter. Gardening spots are open to anyone. Any leftover crop will be donated to Christ’s Chapel Share & Care Mission in Ringgold.

CHURCH · Oakwood Baptist Church presents “Easter in the House” – special community wide Easter services, Sunday April 8, at its Chickamauga and Gateway Mall campuses. EDUCATION · The Walker County Board of Education invites you to name a school. Construction will soon begin on a truly new facility, for students kindergarten through eighth grade, off U.S. 27 near Rock Spring. Not replacing an older facility, this school will begin its own history starting with a new name. CHURCH · The sanctuary choir of Lookout Baptist Church, 8645 Ga. 193 in the High Point community will pre-sent “Oh What A Savior” on Sunday morning April 8, at the 11 a.m. service.
