ENTERTAINMENT · The Walker County Community Theater presents the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” Nov. 25 and 26 and Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Cen-ter. COMMUNITY · As part of the Thanksgiving weekend special programs at Chickamauga and Chattanooga Na-tional Military Park, two ranger-led, 90-minute walking tours will be held at Missionary Ridge. Both programs begin at Bragg Reservation and conclude at Ohio Reservation. Join a park ranger to learn and discuss the role of the 5th Company, Washington Artillery Battery of New Orleans in the Battle of Missionary Ridge. This program begins at 11 a.m. Also, join a park ranger to learn and discuss the Army of the Cumberland’s role in the Battle of Missionary Ridge. On Nov. 25, 1863, this Union army, without orders, charged up Missionary Ridge and forced the Confederate Army of Tennessee to abandon the high ground. Union veterans labeled this heroic charge “The Miracle at Mis-sionary Ridge.” This program begins at 2 p.m.

COMMUNITY · As part of the Thanksgiving weekend special programs at Chickamauga and Chattanooga Na-tional Military Park, join a park volunteer to learn what transpired in some of the rear-guard actions as Jefferson C. Davis’ Union Division pursued Confederate forces that had abandoned the northern end of Missionary Ridge. This 90-minute driving tour begins at 2 p.m. at the Taco Bell parking lot located at 6210 Lee Highway in Chattanooga.
