The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans got a three-run homerun from Emily Armour as part of an eight-run first inning as they advanced to the semifinals of the North Georgia Athletic Conference softball tournament with a 15-2 win over Trion on Tuesday.

Gordon Lee will host Lakeview at 5 p.m. on Thursday after the Lady Warriors beat LaFayette in their first-round game on Tuesday.

Lakeview handed Gordon Lee a 4-0 defeat in the regular season finale.

Top-seeded Heritage is still awaiting the winner of the Dade County-Rossville preliminary game, which was rained out on Monday.

Ringgold will await either Heritage, Dade County or Rossville in the other semifinal. The Lady Tigers advanced with a win over Chattanooga Valley on Tuesday.

The NGAC finals is set to begin on Friday with Game 1 at the home of the lowest-remaining seed. Game 2 and Game 3, if needed, will be played at the home of the highest-remaining seed on Saturday.
