Detectives with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he traveled to Ringgold to allegedly have sex with a child.

Edward Lee Trusky, 31, of White Oak Drive, Hiawassee, Ga., was taken into custody Sept. 14 and charged with criminal attempt for aggravated child molestation, criminal attempt for child molestation, computer pornography, and sexual exploitation of a child.

A bond has not been set for Trusky.

According to sheriff’s office reports:

Trusky began communicating with an undercover detective via the internet, in which the detective posed as a stepfather with two underage stepdaughters.

Over time, Trusky discussed his desire to have sexual contact with the two fictitious children, and on Wednesday traveled to Ringgold to meet the children.

Trusky was met by sheriff’s deputies and transported to Catoosa County jail without incident.
