In admiration of the heroic contributions of emergency service personnel on 9/11, Lake Winnepesaukah will honor EMTs, police, firefighters and military personnel and their families with a free day Sunday, Sept. 11.

“We want to show our appreciation to those men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for their fellow citizens and our country,” says park representative Talley Green. “We salute their efforts with a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah."

On Sunday, Sept. 11, those presenting EMT, police, firefighter or military ID at the entrance gates will receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. Children must be accompanied by an adult with proper identification in order to receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. The actual active duty service person need not be present.
