Fort Oglethorpe police arrested a Chattanooga man wanted in Hamilton County, Tenn., on assault charges.

According to Fort Oglethorpe police reports:

Shortly after noon Friday, Aug. 12, officers observed a vehicle make a left turn on to Ga. 2 (Battlefield Parkway) from Stuart Drive, which is a right-turn only intersection.

After stopping the vehicle at Battlefield Cinema 10, it was discovered that the passenger was wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for simple assault.

Hamilton County advised Fort Oglethorpe police they would extradite the suspect, at which time he was placed under arrest.

Jamar Ortiz Moss, 34, of 2531 Judson Lane in Chattanooga, Tenn., was taken into custody and transported to Ca-toosa County jail without incident on a hold for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
