Each year, the Walker County Board of Education nominates the district’s most dedicated and outstanding business partner for a Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) Partner Commendation.

The GSBA Partner Commendation spotlights business partners who have a strong relationship with their schools and a keen understanding of the district’s focus and vision for their students.

This year, the GSBA Partner Commendation was awarded to the Sonic Drive-Ins in LaFayette, Chickamauga and Rossville. Together these three business partners have established and continued innovative collaboration in the education of Walker County students.

They strive to reward excellence in academics and attendance, support clubs and activities, and assist with schoolwide events through multiple and varied donations of time and resources.

They recognize staff as well as student achievement and help to encourage outstanding performance. They help parents to stay informed and involved by supporting workshops and facilitate fundraising through Limeade for Learning.
