Walker County Manufacturers will be honored at the Walker County Chamber Membership Luncheon on April 27. During the event at the Walker County Civic Center, commissioner Bebe Heiskell will proclaim the day “Manufacturers Appreciation Day.”

The Walker County Chamber is partnering with the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority for the luncheon to show appreciation to Walker County manufacturers.

“During these economic times, the Walker County Chamber would like to show our appreciation to manufacturers for staying strong through this economic hardship,” said Glenda Jones, director of program and events for the Walker County Chamber.

Commissioner Bebe Heiskell has deemed April 27 Manufacturers’ Appreciation Day and State Senator Jeff Mullis will address the Chamber at the luncheon.

"It’s a great privilege and honor to be the guest speaker at the Walker County Chamber of Commerce luncheon. They are an essential entity for the support and growth of business. At the luncheon, we have the honor to recognize the local manufacturers of Walker County. These manufacturers are the foundation for economic development. I look forward to the opportunity to thank them in person for keeping northwest Georgia a vital contributor to our economy,” stated Mullis.

Networking begins at 11:50 a.m. at the Walker County Civic Center. The cost for the event is $12 with two complimentary tickets per each manufacturing company in Walker County. For more information on the event, call 706-375-7702.
