Rising country queen Lauren Alaina will take a familiar stage tonight (March 8). The popular Rossville teen, who was last year’s “American Idol” runner-up, will perform her single “Georgia Peaches” on the Fox show‘s results episode tonight at 8 o’clock.

Life after “Idol” catapulted Alaina into a promising country music career. She released her debut album “Wild-flower” and made appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, Graceland and even the White House.

She kicked off 2012 by opening for Georgia country stars Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan on Aldean's “My Kinda Party” tour, which played to sold-out arenas across the country.

Part of the show included a duet performance by Alaina and Aldean, with Alaina singing Kelly Clarkson's half of Aldean's No. 1 hit, “Don't You Wanna Stay.” Clarkson was the winner of “Idol”’s debut season. Fans can see their duet on YouTube.

According to Mercury Nashville/19 Recordings/Interscope, Alaina’s record label, she will be one of two opening acts for Sugarland's “In the Hands of the Fans” tour, scheduled to begin April 6 in Toledo, Ohio. Alaina is slated to go on the road with Sugarland during April but will then rejoin Aldean's tour.
