Rock Springs Opening Day ceremonies to be held on Saturday

The Rock Spring Athletic Association will be hold their Opening Day festivities at the ballfields this Saturday from 2-6 p.m.

BBQ plates will be available during the afternoon and there will be an Easter Egg hunt for kids, ages 3-6, after the ceremonies.

There will also be inflatables, snow cones and cotton candy, a visit from the Rock Spring Fire Department, jewelry, face painting, hair coloring, and lots more.

All baseball and softball players will be recognized. Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, and Sgt. Patrick Lee from the 212th will also be recognized for his service to our country along with any other servicemen and women that are present.
