The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled 18 times since Marcia Adams of College Park won $72 million in the Jan. 24 drawing.
Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options: approximately $20 million a year for 26 years with the annuity option; or a single payment worth approximately $389 million with the cash option.
Mega Millions tickets are $1 per play. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.1 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
