Lake Winnepesaukah will honor all mobilized, deployed and retired military personnel and their families (meaning their spouses and their dependent children) with a free day on Memorial Day, May 28.

“We want to show our appreciation to those men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for their fellow citizens and our country,” said park representative Talley Green. “We salute their efforts with a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah.”

On Memorial Day, those presenting an active duty identification card or other form of appropriate military identification at the entrance gates will receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. The military personnel need not be present for their families to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult with appropriate military identification to receive free gate admission and unlimited rides.

Lake Winnepesaukah will open on Memorial Day from noon until 8 p.m. For more information, call (706) 866-5681 or toll free at (877) LAKEWIN.
