Shannon Robertson, a fifth-grade teacher at Gilbert Elementary, has developed an entertaining way to build extensive vocabularies and enhance writing skills while students enjoy holiday celebrations from around the world. Fifth graders at Gilbert Elementary play a Hanukkah game with a dreidel, a four-sided top with a Hebrew letter on each side, after researching holiday celebrations in different cultures.
