The Boynton Bandits and Boynton Bulls remain alive for Dizzy Dean state titles as tournament play heads into Monday.

7-year-olds

The Boynton Bandits are into the winners' bracket semifinals at the sanctioned tournament in Canton after an 18-11 win over Midway on Sunday. The Bandits will have Monday off before a showdown with host Canton Tuesday night at 6 p.m.

Boynton's other entry in the field, the Jackets, were eliminated on Sunday with a loss to Sandy Plains Blue.

In Chickamauga, the invitational tournament came to an end for the host Trojans with a 13-5 loss to Midway's Mustangs on Sunday morning.

12-year-olds

The Boynton Bulls suffered their first loss of the tournament on Sunday against the NYO Warriors. Boynton will play Aragon Green at 6 p.m. Monday in the losers' bracket, needing three more wins to earn a spot in the championship.

Senior Division

The North Georgia Chiefs won the state title Sunday afternoon with a win over the Boynton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs had earned the championship game berth with a victory over the Gordon County Vikings.
