Biography

Sherry Dee Allen joined the Catoosa County News as a reporter in April 2011. She was born and raised in Princeton, Ky., and graduated from Murray State University with a BA degree in German and English. She has spent the better part of her "stay at home mom" life in the Georgia-Tennessee area, raising four children (Savannah, Michaela, Connor, and Addy) and enjoying her hobbies of painting murals, designing, decorating, and writing. When not at the computer or holding a paint brush, she can be found acting at the Vaudeville Cafe, a local theater in downtown Chattanooga. She's an avid sports fan, fanatic "kite flyer,” loves to travel, and spend quality time with her husband Jeff and the kids. She and her family live in Ringgold, Ga.
